Boat is 1 week old. Only been in the water for 3 days(freshwater). Corrosion starting on kicker anode. Hull, main motor anodes are fine. Duckworth boat.

How does the hull anode attach? If it is zinc I would consider changing it to aluminum, I believe I read on here that aluminum anodes are preferred for aluminum hulls.

It is welded

That is surprising, mine is bolted on, pretty easy to change it out, I switched to aluminum a few years ago. Neither motor or hull anodes show any wear, I left my in the water for a month last summer in fresh water.

I have learned that all mercury outboards with stainless steel props are shipped with zinc anodes and any mercury outboard 25hp and under come with aluminum anodes.

Your kicker anode is not welded, those are your hull anodes that are welded. All outboards, even big Mercury's with stainless props, are factory equipped with aluminum anodes. If you see an anode that is corroding that means it is working as designed, it is protecting the parts that it is attached to. However, if the anode on your kicker is already actively reacting and all the other anodes on the boat show little to no activity your kicker motor may have a magnesium anode mistakenly installed on it that would be getting hit hard and fast as it would be low man on the galvanic totem pole for the entire boat. All anodes on an aluminum boat need to be made of the same material (mil spec aluminum anode alloy).
