In post number 2 you said runs thru end of March...then the last post says 3 days left and that is posted on April 17th?!?!? Confused!

Patriot, could you, in the interest of full disclosure and educating the Forum about the auction and benefit... please review the entire show; from stem to stern?

Lots I don't understand? but then I'm not used to most of these fundraiser type events. So in the interest of everyone have a clear view - would you mind taking time to post a review that shows 100% of all the steps, changes, updates, end results and roughly how much money will go to the organization.

And in the interest of completely open communications- using the AAB.com Forum for a good cause and all... would you please explain exactly how much overhead (% of income) this organization pays to operate; vs how much it takes in -vs how much gets to the beneficiaries and in what exact form?

I'd like to know more of the details and imagine other readers here would too? The posts were very brief and not really clear to me as to cause and effect of the 'auction'?? how it worked, and when and who 'won' the bids? Not looking for a name of the 'winner' but " An individual from Western Washington, was the high bidder of (amount) and that made them the owner of the boat? That made them a .... donor of the boat? " Lots that I can't infer from your posts.

Thanks for reaching out. Our organization's target is to make certain that 90% of funds raised go directly to benefiting the children - with the remaining 10% being used to cover administrative costs including annual license renewal fees, legal fees, accounting fees, marketing etc.

To date, my wife and I have funded over 85% of the mission. We wanted to go operational this coming summer but fell short of our fundraising objectives.

The Army alone has over 20,000 surviving children under its wings. We hosted a pilot week for a representative group of children that were referred by the Army. Highlights of the pilot were professionally recorded and recently released as a short film. It's featured on the Home page of our website at: www.healingthewounds.org
