Inside of 1979 aluminum diesel tank

Tagged 5052 1/8th wall 110 gallon.
I didn't see it in the boat but it has been epoxy repaired more than twice.
Owner told me it cracked and he would jack the tank up 3" and get under with a dremel to clean it up and re-coat.
He finally decided to cut the deck up last week and replace.

I made him a new replacement out of 3/16" 5052, sorry I didn't take build pix
But here's pix of a 20+ year old tank that lived in a glassoverwood hull on the water as a full time fishing charter.

Black Algae is nasty stuff.
Hope the owner will start using some Diesel treatment.
