I would love some help identifying this boat I just purchased. It is 20ft. Had a 1958 Johnson 50hp v4. I found it in a field in Colorado.

greg,
the CG records builders (who register) by their BIN (or builders' ID #) so you may find that you can go to the CG site and look for the ID letters shown?
Just a thought about finding your boats' heritage?

Cheers,

Looks like it was last registered in Colorado [ CL 1125 AH ] can you do a lost title search there?
Or go to the PD or Game and Fish with the numbers and have them run it because your thinking about buying it :joecool:

So I tried the CG three letter manufacturers code list. It is similar to how airports have a three letter code. Nothing jived. The only numbers stamped are on the bow rub rail and the third letter is strange. SK(v, j,???). No combination matched with The coast guard list. I also read that the CG list didn’t com about until 1972 and this sweet lady is from the 50’s. I also talked to the Colorado boat registration people who said that they do not keep records back to 1982. I couldn’t believe it. So they said they have no record of this boat ever being registered.

I don't think that's a Lone Star boat.. I have a couple Lone Stars and I've never seen one like that on any of their brochures.. the cruisemaster is similar but much deeper hull and the motor extensions are different ..
