ALLOYTOY....consumer marine electronics

Post by JETTYWOLF »

Hey Alloy,

recieved my new consumer marine electronics catalog today.
C/O - the UNITED STATES POST OFFICE it was ripped to shreds, but still readable.

How much does a Federal mail carrier make these days?
I'm gonna have a word with them, thats for sure!

But,

Man I'm getting me a fuel management gauge for sure. Makes way too much sense. So I'm with ya brother...

Here's what I see:

Faria Gauges has one now, does it all and yhas a LIFE TIME warrenty!
I likes that, things seem to break on me. Dad calls me the family "defect finder". I'm just hard on stuff.
It's just $220.

Then there's the NorthStar, and even the Lowrance brands, from $140-$170 with a one year warrenty.

NorthStar only has a 5 meter transducer cable though and extensions are $40

I'll find out how long the faria is by googling their web site.

Man, today we need these gauges....can imagine the savings. I guess you do, since you brought it up. Did ya get one yet?

Or better yet check this thang out :!: :!:
Wow......but can't find it anywhere yet.

Here's the Faria owners manual for the fuel management gauge:

I'M SOLD!

Ordering mine soon....It looks real easy to install, too.

Yabba-daba-do, I'm getting out the "stone age" and into the save $$ in petro age.

Here's a REAL fuel SAVER.......

I wonder how tough or expensive the Faria unit is to install...that thing looks great.

Ya mean that multi-sensor gauge thing?
the ANTARES unit?

Probably not easy. But the regular fuel management gauge is a piece of cake....read the instructions link I provided

I'm 30 seconds from ordering one from Consumer marine... :?:

You want mind blowing :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
check this out...holy-crap-a-reno

Now, Welder goes and tells me that for $300 more than the Faria fuel managment gauge I can get the upgraded HONDA Gauge that does it all (Fuel management) and according to Kenny at Trade winds just plugs in!

Anyone have this HONDA gauge??

Image
Gauge provides the following information:
• Speed
• Fuel tank level indicator
• Battery voltage
• Trip meter (miles)—resettable
Fuel management:
• Fuel flow—gph (includes totalizer)
• Fuel economy—mpg
Water in fuel alarm (from separator in engine) except BF115 Does not come with speedometer tubing.
Sale Price: $649.99 :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

Dang......now whats a guy to do? I love original equipment, over add-ons.

Consumer Marine is a good outfit as is Defender Marine

A buddy of mine whom was the NE sales manager for Boaters World just went to work for Faria. Just found this out today from a BW employee....

I thought they (Faria) dropped off the face of the earth.........looks like a decent unit they have there

Hey, so maybe you have an "in" on the latest news and gadgets?

Maybe a discount?

WELDER, has me thinking Honda gauge now. I wish he wouldn't do that.
Its gotta be better than an add on gauge.

Possibly Dave, He lived in town here for years then moved to the shore. I don't have a phone# for him but know where he lives.

I'll see if I can pin him down. Larger offer than BW I guess..........

Didn't know there was good $$$ in selling Gauges????????? But I guess it would be to the boat builders...........
