I've seen this boat a few times, and it may have been posted here before. http://maine.craigslist.org/boa/4268735947.html

Re: Maine Craigslist
That is a cool boat he had built, can't believe the lousy grinder finish they put on it considering what it likely cost

Re: Maine Craigslist
For a boat that cost more than my house, the finish on the Hunt blows my mind every time I see it. The white $7 through hulls drive me nuts too. Come to think of it the dome lights are also pet peeve of mine.

Re: Maine Craigslist
NEB let that finish pass ? Very ghetto.
and yes, the dome lights, the plastic gimbaled drink holders (they may work, but not on this boat!), and why couldn't Hunt integrate the display(s) at the helm ?
I sort of understand why the NW builders don't do it, but this boat's too high end to have slap dash displays all over the place. Make it look like it belongs ? At least, that's my take if I had the $$

If that's the guy I'm thinking about, it's too small.Black Beard wrote:"29' Pacific guy has money bought it didn't like it"
Alloy, did he say what he didn't like about the boat?

Re: Maine Craigslist
The finish work on the 35' gives custom boat builders a bad name. Everything looks like it was done by the lowest bidder. The white cushion in the front of the trunk cabin is amateurish. A simple track could have eliminated those big tabs. The grinder finish is atrocious. It also doesn't look like the boat was ever acid washed. The welds around the top overhang appear to be black at the edges. Why would you order big black seats and then put white cushions?
The boat looks like they ran out of budget when it came to the finish stage.
I saw the 29' Pacific in Maine this fall. Great price. There is some rub rash on the port side. The boat looked like it sat in the water somewhere without any attention. I don't remember how many hours were on the engines ,but remember there wasn't many. Big expensive Stidd chair for the helm chair. It was odd that there where cameras on the back of the cabin like there where filming the big tuna trip. Lots of grab rails in the cabin. Kind of set up for four people to hang on and go.
Although the motors don't have many hours at this point there out of warranty. The boat could be a great buy for the right person. It needs a good Jetty wolf cleaning.

Re: Maine Craigslist
Have the motors been started or at least cranked over once in a while???? Not good to just them sit out like that for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time.
Wasn't it for sale a couple years ago for $106K???
As for cabin layout, Nothing a steady torch or grinder hand can't cure.
