Manual wiper
Guys, I just told one of product developers that I know a guy that knows a guy that will know a guy who does good manual wipers...
The boss is having a new 21foot console boat designed/built and wants to keep it simple with a manual windscreen wiper.
Anyone know a good example or supplier?
Thanks,
Tim.

Re: Manual wiper
I've been searching as I need one too......AND ALL I've seen and held seem cheezy. Either pot metal, too much plastic, or just plain filmsy. Searching Google for a picture is one thing. in the hand is another.
Re: Manual wiper
I've thought about adding one too. Question though: how well do these things "park" to the side AND STAY parked? ...or what am I missing?

Re: Manual wiper
Via "tension" I presume. That's why quality is a must have. I'm not into drilling any more holes in my aluminum, so if I do it better be for something really mandatory and of superior quality.
I had my boat built, got essentially everything I wanted. But forgot about morning dew, rain, and splashing saltwater on a big glass windshield!

Yup, thats what we have been seeing. I'll let you know how we get on. The hull is in build so if we go ahead with a manual wiper, it will be on and tested around 15 Dec.JETTYWOLF wrote:I've been searching as I need one too......AND ALL I've seen and held seem cheezy.
