Splashed her for the first time today

#1

Post by ReelSong »

Finally put the new build in the water today, ran out awesome, 51mph at 6000rpm and turns like a sports car. Actually made a couple full speed 50mph 180degree turns and it was amazing, you better hang on there was no slip and zero cavitation, getting pretty stoked to wrap her up by the first of august for tuna. Still have interior work, electronics, outriggers , bait tank and general rigging to finish.

What has the trouble? you told me about one of the engines running rough on Wayne's boat. Did Lloyd fix it?

51 mph is nice. What props are you running on it now?

Good looking and it looks like it runs clean with out bouncing.

John, no UPS yesterday so harness will go out today, no problems with either motor and nothing changed, I think they were hearing the outside motors exhaust more on the troll with the triples possibly slightly out of the water cuz I thinks they run pretty well.

Sounds good. Glad the motors are fine. I had a few zirks that were dry on mine. and I am still playing with my prop. I am waiting for a 15X21P SWS II from Nj to try and get my boat to that magical 50 mph the Power tech 4 blade is ok but I am not seeing Great economy with it. I burn around 10 to 11 gls at 4000 rpm and 28 MPH I get it Tuesday.

Terry that is a nice Looking wiring Job. The Interior shots will come.

Need some suspension Seats? Air Ride with Compressor or the Bentley Mariner Style? (got a set make you a deal  but the have Northriver on them  ) The air ride I got at McCoy's Surplus Store in Portland for $350 apiece and the compressor and the tank was $180 at the local 4X4 shop Randy's Off Road.

X2 on the wiring. Looks great.

I'm running air rides as well. They are leather trucker style seats and I have an aircraft grade air compressor up under the back of the passenger side dash bulkhead . The cat's azz for comfort.

Would love to have the air rides but I'd have to remodel, and remove the storage boxes , Here's a peak at the interior, still waiting on my front suspension seats for passenger's side, a bunch of hardwood trim, and a few other things but this is what it looks like so far.

I did not install any holding tank, she's straight pump and dump with a lock on door and a sign that will read this door to remain locked unless 3 or more miles off shore
