The all new flagship model had its debut at the 2011 Miami international boat show. The concept BF250 provides the first indication of the design direction for the new outboard which is planned to be available in New Zealand towards the end of 2011. Based on a large displacement 3.6L engine, the concept BF250 has been designed to deliver optimum balance of performance and fuel effiency through exclusive Honda technologies including BLAST, VTEC and ECOmo.

What??????

New Zealand?????

I guess it pays to have No Population, huh?

I'm all fer that. Human's.....they're every where, dammit.

my Honda rep said we would have them in July 2011 ??. I'll ask next time I talk to them. Do you want one? I can sell you one at a really good price, the only problem is I'll have to build you a new boat to put it on.

Win. Or are we test bunnies?

I talked with a few of the dozens of Honda staff at the Melbourne show, its a stroked 3.4L with a revised intake. Not rocket science level changes but in this climate there isnt much money for big R&D. I wouldn't expect anything but another good motor from Honda.

PS I wouldnt have NZ any other way. In my 130mile weekly drive to work I would come across 50 cars. 99% of which are in small towns. I get empty roads, sunrises and a screaming engine. My twice weekly fix.

Sometimes I wish/long for the piece and quite that the country living has to offer. Fl has too many people and I do not wish to live there. NZ only takes visitors and I do not want to be on the plane that long to have to repeat the trip home in a week or two.

By a yami or suzy and get more horses under the cowling.

I could be dropped in NZ, and wouldn't care to come home. From what I've seen I could wear-out that BIG honda there.
