Swamp Tour 11 Day 2

My Butt is dragging ...
Today was the "Take SKINTBACK and run the big rivers/lake day" and run we did .... OVER 150 miles . Don had me lost until we pulled back in the driveway of his house .
He ran my boat where I NEVER would go on my own. how he knows where in the heck he is 100% of the time I don't know.

We were about 80% done with the days MARATHON river/lake run and we ran across a boat with 4 souls aboard that were broke down [ Bad Water Pump ] so we did the right thing and pulled them for 2 hours . It was GREAT , we made new friends and had a great visit before cutting them loose [ phone #s exchanged and some Red Cypress coming our way, BIG SCORE ] The channel we were in at the time we said good by to our new friends is where the 2 swamp brothers [On T.V.] live and play , they know them.
We were up in the neighbor hood where Bruce from Swamp people plays. Still watching for TROY [ chootem chootem ]

The Honda ran great and we burnt 3/8s of a tank for the day , we ran for a good 7 hours [ 2 hours of towing, 6 people - 2 boats] averaging 25 mph.

We ate at meddendorfs [Spelling ?] then ran to Lake Pontchartrain to the old Light Hose for a picture .

I took PICTURES today of things we got to see and will post them soon , it's to late to play on the PC in the house .

Sun burnt, Over fed and HAPPY.

SKINTBACK hits the water for the 1st time in the Swamps...

I just can't get away from the weather , this was close by...

SKINTBACKS TOWBACK , we got to help a stranded boater and made some NEW friends...

Only as far as the Bourgeouis Canal from the lake.....

Yep you passed, on the left hand side......before the Chapel.
Had a cousin marry there and honeymoon at the camp.
