Took a couple fellow members (Don & Rob) of our fishing and hunting club to Pyramid Lake to pop their striper cherries(neither one has caught one before)

The last time fishing this lake was the 2011 Striperfest which was 5 weeks ago
Water temp yesterday was 63.5
Fairly brisk SE wind all day long
Fresh sardines from MDR Sportfishing
Fished on the island/dam end of the lake, anchoring in areas where I get suspended fish marks on the electronics after metering the area
We had some action right from the start
I caught a couple stripers back to back
Don get's his first ever striper a short while later

Made a move out towards the Wingnut buoy (you'd better have a long anchor rope if you plan on fishing there (bottom is 270ft. down)
Rob was having some difficulties keeping his fish from shaking the hook (0 for 5) until he finally popped his striper cherrie

It was just a pick during the middle of the day. The wind also picked up
We were tempted to look for a spot out of the wind but hung in there since the anchor was holding and didn't look forward to retrieving 350ft of chain and rope.
Around 1:30 the bite picked up
Especially with the aggressiveness of how the took the bait
Limited out by 3:30 (10 per person, no size limit)
Light line(4-6lb) Carolina rigs with pieces of sardines
