Here is an interesting rig that would be ideal for surf launch - hey Baja boys! Check out the traditional motor well and the double ended hull, perfect for crossing bars and coming in through big surf.

That is a sweet ride - great for launching through the surf but I'm not sure how well she would handle off shore. I think I would rather have your La Conner.
