Here are the latest pictures. The radar arch is folding, so I don't think the height of the cockpit light will be a problem. I am sure they must have put it up that high for a reason.

One thing that I am having them add is some insulation between the fish holds and the fuel tank, since others have said this can be a problem (not on this boat specicially). Since the diesel is circulated through the engine and warmed, I was concerned that the tank will get warm when running and heat up the fish holds. This is not a big expense, and can be removed later if it is an issue. There is about a 2 inch gap between the fuel tank and the fish holds.

Any comments or suggestions?

My comment is, That boat might be to much for you to handle by yourself......................

My suggestion is , You send me a plane ticket when your fishing season starts so we can make sure she catches fish and lots of'em.

P.S. , I fly out of DFW :skipper:

Welder,

If it makes you feel better, I do feel bad about getting such a nice ride that I am certainly not worthy of. If I cannot get fishing partners with this boat without flying them in from out of state, I am going to have to take a hard look at myself.

Marty,

Good idea on the video camera. I have a long list of things to take along with me, and this was not on the list. I enjoyed watching your video of you fishing with your son, and I will try to produce something similar. As for enjoying the build process, it is fun to watch it come together, but boy has it been a long year for me. It seems like I am watching a tree grow sometimes.

The current plan is to take delivery in January, around the 16th or so. They may get it done sooner, but I have some family and work commitments in early January. The builder says he prefers it this way, and wants the time to get everything right before I see the boat and start going over it. The feedback I got from others that have had a Seawolf bulit is that Stennar is a perfectionist, so I think I am better off being patient and letting him get everthing right before I get there. I plan on spending some time down there this winter and put some hours on it before I run up the insider passage to work out any kinks.

Jim , I just noticed the picture of the Port Bow and all the orbs in it , what do ya think causes that ?
We were taking pictures with two cameras at my nephews house and what ever picture my sister or I was in there was a orb by us and that was with two cameras and from many different angles .

Weird , ya.

Welder,

If you are referring to the November 18th photos, those where the ones that I took when I was onsite with my camera. I did notice those when I downloaded them. It was raining that day, so maybe it was a bit of water on my lens or some dirt or something. The camera usually takes really good pictures, but not in this case.

Jim, If you make your video, send it to Cody, he will edit it into a nice video with some music and headers and send you back a bunch of DVDs of it along with your original. Just an offer! Let me know, Marty

Thanks Alloytoy,

You know, in a way I didn't want to add these pictures, since the last post to this thread was from Marty just last week. I do really like the picture of his boat at the top of the forum, and hope that the administrators leave it up there forever.

Looks great, Jim. Are those pictures of the furnace and hot water heater? You have to be like a little on Christmas eve. Are you going to visit again before the sea trials? Keep the pictures coming.

Thanks Pete, I am not completely sure what I am looking at, but I think you have it right. I will not be going down again before sea trials, so the pictures are quite nice. Overall I am very happy with the quality of the work. I am lucky that they are doing a nice job installing things, since I did not really look at the details of how they installed things before I signed up with them.

Marty had made a request to do a video of the seatrial, which I am planning on doing, but to have my own record as well as to have something to post here. I don't think that it will be as entertaining as his black bass fishing, but I will do my best.

You have to be getting pretty stoked about your project. Make sure you take some video of the sea trial. I can edit it for you and put it to DVD, too. I have been doing it for the last several years and really enjoy it. I have yet to take the step and post it on youtube or google video like Marty and Cody have. Good stuff.

Pete,

I will bring the video camera down when I take delivery. I may take you up on the editing help. I have the tools, but I''m not the most creative person there is.

They are making progress on the interior...

She is coming along fast. What do they use to insulate the cabin and how thick is it?

Pete,

I am not sure what the product is. It is about 1"-1.5" thick. You can see it in one of the pictures in the last set I uploaded. It has kind of a silver mylar backing that is to the interior of the boat.
