There was some stringer talk in the Bayweld Boats thread, so I figured it would be interesting to start a stringer picture thread. I will start with some pictures from my Aerohead 30.

Damn! That is really impressive work. Slightly different from the stringers under my floor. I'm not sure why Valco decided to use flat stock instead of some type of extruded material. Cost savings would be my guess.

Flat bar is used when the boat is CNC plasma cut. There some advantages to this method. I think you can get a fairer shape. You are also welding the same alloys of aluminum.

I've built them both ways and prefer the flat bar because all the frames are preformed.
