Hey there , i am running a 2005 5.1mtrs trailcraft runabout which i have owned for 6 trouble free years . how ever i looked under the cover after it had been sitting for two months in lockdown and it had white spots on the carpet , looking closer it had lumps where the spots were , starting to get concerned ! i started pulling up the carpet and it looks like electrolysis spots scattered and around the inspection panel for the fuel tank some of the rivets had corroded off . lookin up next to the fuel tank it looks like some spots where it is starting on the hull as well . Have i got big problems ?
i thought that i could wire brush back the floor , treat and put some non slip surface on it but under the floor on the hull what to do there ? would i need to cut the floor out which would be a big job as it is a sealed deck or maybe just another inspection hole towards the front ?
Any thoughts on my dilema would be greatly appreciated before i go any further . will drain the fuel tank so i can remove it and see more .
cheers geoff
