24 foot boat build for Northwest

#1

Post by Morning bite »

Hello,
New to the site, but long time guest. Need to decide on the builder to build/configure a +/- 24 foot aluminum boat with the ability to shore land to a cabin in the San Juans as well as fish/crab/shrimp off the coast of Vancouver island and Barkley sound. I currently own a Grady White 204 walk around and want to keep the sleeper and the walk around. I want to keep it trailerable. Pacific vs Crozier vs lee Shore vs Armstrong vs Duckworth vs Wooldrige etc? I know a lot of these issues have been discussed... Its different when you are actually doing it! :deadhorse:

Crozier might be a good fit, they do semi-custom walk around sleeper cabins with beach access doors

Crozier built my 28' boat and did a 1st class job.

Go to his website and click his Facebook page - he updates it almost every week
with the progress being made on his current builds.

He has 23' boat that is almost done, he might be taking it to the Seattle boat show.

Feel free to PM if you want.

I have talked to Chad and viewed the boat under construction. I will likely meet with him. I have also talked to Pacific Boats. I will likely meet with them to see if I can build what I need. Want a rear access cabin with a good true walk around as I need access to the shore over the bow. I have Grady White walk around sleeper, but haven’t seen that layout in a aluminum boat.

Anybody have experience with Pacific boats 26 footer. I wonder how it handles in the ocean with an 18 degree dead rise.
