Re: 27' Sea Ark Commander CC $12,500
I got the center console and t-top re-mounted yesterday. Those are the only items on the boat that are questionable. They are functional, but poorly built. My plan was to put in a 54" x 84" w/a pilothouse, so I never did anything with them. I'm moving to WA and need $ to buy a house, otherwise I would finish the boat. Need the boat gone in the next two weeks. I'll take $10k.
Both motors run well. Compression tested this spring, all within 8 psi.

Hey Goat, if you have time to reply? I'd appreciate learning the reasoning behind the 'above engine cowling' stern pipe guard?
I'd seen them in various locations up and down from the waterline but this is the first I've seen that high above the cowlings?
Is there a special condition where that guard does it's job in your area or maybe in your harbor?
thanks for any reply.
Cheers,

Kevin, that engine guard looks like it is meant to protect the motors fro a tow line than protect them from sea walls and such. There are some pretty healthy Cleats on the Port & Starboard.
Just a thought.

Kevin, I believe Welder is correct. Guard is meant to keep a tow line out of the motors. Also makes a good handhold for changing a hub out in 6' seas...and other tasks unfit to mention amongst gentlemen.

Re: 27' Sea Ark Commander CC $10,000
thanks welder, goat, so the tow line uses this upper pipe as a fairlead to keep the tow line, even when somewhat slack, off the running gear? And that includes turning under the line when the engine cowls are above the tow cleats?
I'd have expected a tow post but can (now) see the idea of a yoke or even off side tow line, so that implies the boat was used for or had the purpose of a (Sea) tow or rescue type service?
I was trying to imagine how the boat would be slammed around enough in a harbor or mooring to need engine guards that high up.
Anyway I look at it the hull and overall lines; they're are clean and she looks well built so the 10K deal looks like a 'steal' to me?
Thanks again,
Cheers,

Were all of the guys on here looking for a deal on a aluminum boat. If it wasn't so far away (and I have a boat ) I be giving it a hard look.
Good Luck

She was definitely a "steal". I had double the asking price tied up in her. Needed to sell due to the move to La Conner. That being said, if any of you fine folks live/fish around La Conner, keep me in mind next season, as I will most likely still be boatless.
