Custom 23' Wooldridge Offshore Pilothouse
Like a lot of people on this site I enjoy viewing peoples new boats being built and I was fortunate to have the guys at Wooldridge Boats build me my 23' Offshore Pilothouse. Here are a few details that I had customized on the boat. I also wanted say that working with Grant,Glen, and Danny have been nothing but awesome! I went ahead with the 23' offshore pilothouse. The customization that I made I believe will best suit my needs for what I enjoy doing. The cabin space is the same as their 20' model, but I extended the fishing area in the back of the boat by another 3 feet. I've added some pictures as the build out...A few other things I have below I added were:
Bottom transom pod extends bottom back to rear of motor bracket in
center of hull under motor
Raise floors 1-1/2" more and make self bailing w/ welded diamond plate floors
Custom lip on rear and sides of transom sink cutting board
Two under floor Fish boxes in aluminum deck with gutters for self
bailing and drains through transom
Upgrade from 75 to 100 gallon fuel tank
Gull Wing Door (window up in the bow that allows you to walk thru the cabin)
Stand up head wit Port-a-Pottie with 5 1/2 gallon holding tank
Gunnel Pump out and Macerator pump for Port-a-Pottie
2nd steering in the back of the boat
Custom Rod Holders built by my friend Steve Ericcson
As far as Electronics goes...I will have Lowrance products. HDS8 in the rear, HDS 10Gen 2 up in the capts chair, Sonic Hub, VHF LRV-880, Lowrance LWX-1 sirius weather, Structure Scan HD, and the expansion Hub installed. I was looking into the Lowrance 4G Broadband radar down the road but have to do a little more research before I pull the trigger on that...
Laterz,

Re: Custom 23' Wooldridge Offshore Pilothouse
Build time on the boat was little over 3 months. Of course adding the lights and rod holders were a few weeks here and there...I forgot to mention a couple of things I added recently were the Canon Stainless stell downrigger mounts. I have 4 mounts to put on, but the photos show only 2 at the moment.

Interesting boat. Hope Glen keeps records in case someone from over here wants to downsize some day.

Re: Custom 23' Wooldridge Offshore Pilothouse
Very nice I see some of my handy work on that boat. It is a real pleasure working with these guys building a boat they make you feel like their job is building you the boat of your dreams and not just collecting your money. I had another boat company build me a boat before working with Wooldridge and it was definitely not the same experience the end product was not nearly as nice either.
