Anyone here bidding on this boat? I just about bid until I realized the boat is designed to use an inflatable or foam collar. I was on the phone all morning with collar makers and it looks like 13-15k to have an inflatable collar made and almost double if you want to go with foam or an air foam combo like Moose uses.

You could probably have the collar made out of aluminum for the same price. I saw Norvelle retro-fit a 21' zodiac with an aluminum tube setup that looked amazing for around 10k. I was trying to come up with a way to get around the collar situation but I'd probably end up with the worlds wettest/ugliest boat.
