I would like to build a aluminum boat

but I am not a engineer or hull designer

who would I goto fore a CNC cut and shipped boat?

21' + bay boat

Have a commercial buddy building his own now.

He had an Naval Architect do the design and bill of materials (to figure all the capacities etc.....for his traps, pilot house, hauler etc.......

Went to a metal supplier whom has cutting capabilites......

Now a welding shop whom can do all this work, including knowing how to fixture the boat so that when you weld section A it will have effects on section B etc.........

Installing a jet drive himself..............

When it's all said & done, he's saving nothing, but gaining a $hit load of experience from mistakes :o

You can order plans that can be sent to a CNC or water jet cutter directly from Stephen F. Pollard (author of Boatbuilding with Aluminum and considered by many to be one of the best aluminum designers around) directly from his company in Scapoose, Oregon. Their website address is:
