Welding Suppliers

#1

Post by NTGeorge »

I'm after the name or website of a good welding supplies shop in the US or there abouts. I need to buy a new watercooled tig torch and I have a sneaking suspicion that the local guys I'm dealing with have their hand in my pockets. I figure some of the guys on here that build boats would be in the know on where to get the best prices for this kind of stuff and with the dollar the way it is I might take my business else where.
I'm chasing Binzel if that helps

I poked around on some big on-line weld supply sites and didn't find anyone selling Binzel tig torches . . .

Not sure if they carry the brand you are looking for, but I have had good luck with the following:
arc-zone.com
cyberweld.com

Good luck.

The majority of suppliers only seem to stock Weldcraft. Has anyone herd of Parweld? They have a good line up of tourchs, and seem to be more common than Binzel. Binzel are a major brand over here in australia, they are a german brand. If anyone has any ideas on brands and models I after a 25' lead water cooled, with 10K potentiometer amp adjustment, flexi head, and 100% duty cycle @ 200 amps.

Hi
I got onto Weldingdepot, they have a tig torch exactly like I'm after. The Parweld 250amp water cooled 25' flexi-head with amp control on the torch. However they state on their website that they don't send outside of the U.S. Go figure?????

I'm going to try and track down an Aust. distributor to get a price, if this falls through is anyone interested in forwarding some freight for me?

Did you get your tig torch ? I have stuff shipped/forwarded out here frequently and am headed back to Oregon in August until Nov. I'm happy to forward (just cover the costs ;) PM me

thanks for the offer mate, I did get the torch. Signed up with a freight forwarding company. The torch is a ripper, glad I went to the effort.

Cheers
