Disapearing tuna
For those of you that like your tuna raw, but don't really want sushi, try this appetizer out.
Cut your tuna into 1 inch cubes. Pat them dry and place in a medium salad bowl
Prepare the sauce as follows;
1tbsp dark soy
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 1/2 tsp peanut oil
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp dark brown sugar
1 minced garlic clove (I use a garlic press)
Whisk to combine. Pour over tuna.
1/2 tbsp minced green onion (garnish optional)
Enjoy!
You can adjust the amount and type of brown sugar to suit your taste. A little more and it has a Hawaiian flavor. A little less and the ginger really comes through.
When I make this at home, I can never make enough. It disappears out of the bowl way too fast!
