Well after 8" of fresh powder yesterday and a ton of work at the shop I said "Screw it"!!! Loaded up the gear and out the door at 4:30AM
Weather called for 38 degrees and a stiff N/NW wind 15-25........
Well it blew 25 plus all day but well worth it...........
Made the run to a channel that connects an upper and lower pond. 12" over the moving water, 24" on the main pond........"CRACK" Uhh!!!! that makes your stomach sink :D It's ok it's only the ice settling........
"TIP UP" 2 1/2 pound Small Mouth Bass
The action was non stop all morning
Decided to throw some marinated venison on the grill for B-Fast around 10:30 AM YUM!!!
By noon after non stop action all morning it was time to call it a day. The wind had cut through us, our faces were burning, our stomach's full, and memories of another great day ice fishing in the Berkshire's
Species caught: Rainbow trout, Small Mouth Bass, Perch, and Pickerel
Cabin Fever.....I Can't Take It!!!!

ALLOY.....you were fishing and that's all that counts!
It was a awesome weekend here too. With all of J-ville on the water.
Too many boats. I sat Saturday and Sunday just getting waked from all the inconsiderates.
But had a great morning on sunday. Here's some pics.
7 year old with the largest Sheepshead, dug up from 50 feet down. She was wooped!
Her older brother with his he handled nicely.
Mom with her's....think of them as the "Rebel like Tog's".
Dad, with a good Black Drum....a Redfishes ugly cousin.
7am-11am 1/2 day. 80 degrees at 11am sun shine and serious sun burn. But people everywhere.
No venison on the barbie afterwards though.
