I'm not sure about the weight, I'll have to pay more attention in the future. It loves weight though, rides better with 500-1000 pounds on the deck.

I can dig up some other pics, sure.

Yes, I do know know the history on the boat. The guy I bought it from drove it all the way back from Washington State on an 8k pound load right bunk trailer. He slept in it at night and had some cool stories of the trip. Ed Erola from Edwing remembers building the boat and told be a few things too.

I was going to junk the Honda twin 90's day one but they really get the job done, I'm very happy with them.

There's a big boom crane that goes on the rail.

Everything besides the house appears to be 0 .25" plate.

I am pretty sure we need some pics of the boat working. What numbers are you getting with the 90's, speed, cruise and fuel burn?

Good looking work boat.

thanks for sharing. Do you know the first owner's intended use of the boat? I think the owner must have had some specific task in mind when he asked Edwing to build it.

cheers,

I cruise 22 knots around 4200 rpms but at 4600 it feels like I'm flying. I just bought fuel management so I'll have hard facts come March. Kind of curious myself.

The boat was built as a bow picker for gilnet fishing. It still has Washington fishing permits stuck to it from 1989.

I'm heading out to work on it now, I just bought a Ratheon Hailer and open array Furuno radar. We'll see if I make the 13' 6' maximum trailer height with it on.....?

Heater, great topic. No it doesn't have heat.

My other work boat has cold wind in my face driving but the Edwing is wind free so right now I'm in heaven. When the December sun is out I'm warm enough. The one thing that keeps me from installing heat is once I'm suited up in work clothes removing them to be in a warm cabin every 20 minutes just won't work.

Has anyone plumbed heat off of Honda outboards?

As far as serious 100 mile offshore fishing I'm not sure an aluminum boat is what you want. I know for a fact that I would never want to go off shore in an aluminum boat with the cabin in the bow!!! (Don't kill me but I have lots of opinions on boats now that I own aluminum, steel and NON ALLOY.) BUT, this Edwing was built for fishing and has a fish locker that must be 9' wide (port to Stb.), 5-6 feet long (bow to stern) and 4' deep, toe rails and soon a starboard 42" tuna door and divit arm to pull anything aboard. Totally self bailing for EZclean up too.

Mooringman..

There's these things called "digital cameras" these days. Even cell phones have them. :rotfl: :rotfl:

You can take pics, edit pics, size pics, and name the pics. "No digging them up" and actually load them and save whole albums on your PC.

It's really cool and not hard at all.

What a tease. :nutkick:

COOL BOAT. And you have other boats? And no pics of them either. Shame, shame, shame....

Chicken had to cross the road sometime you know.

Offshore in the Glass they show on Wicked Tuna. Hell a row boat can do it.

No Guts No Glory they say.

The boat has now been dropped off for a few modifications at a RI based aluminum boat builder so pictures will have to wait. Sorry.

My boat should be in tip top shape very soon! I ripped every wire and every piece of electronics out and will redo it from scratch. I'm adding trim tabs too, they're being powder-coated.

This is an aluminum, SS and Brass top quality vise mounted on a slide with quick release lock. It also swivels every 90 degrees so you can adjust it when working from the other side. Love and recommend it!!!

Hmmm, I could use one of them for hook straightening after taking all the Bill-Bob bass fisherman, who swing for the fences when hooked on a granite boulder.

Awe..maybe that's a bit over gunning. I sure like the looks of it thought.

(glad it ain't powder coated. :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Any mo' addition's or deletions? I mean photogs.

Hi Guys,

The vise is by Trac Rac. They make the aluminum ladder racks that go on pick up bed trucks. Great quality with brass inserts, SS handle and hardware. The jaws reverse so you can use the two flat sides or the pipe holding side that has V-groves milled into it.

I’d call it a medium strength vise but I use an 18" breaker bar to open stuck shackles and so far so good! Looks cool too......but it's expensive and can be stolen in 1 second. Don't get any ideas....I glue razor blades to it at night!!

Ya I have a bunch of new pics I'll have to post.
