I was hoping to get an update on how the trip was going. Apparently Pete's high speed Internet satellite connection is not working this week.

I was hoping to meet up with the AAB group, but that will not be happening. My boat is over in Seward, and I had planned to have company show up and run the boat over to Prince William Sound where the AAB group is at. The company bailed, and the weather has been really quite poor, so I opted not doing a 50 mile open ocean crossing to stop in and say hello.

I am sure Pete's big boat is feeling a bit small at this point with all the rain we have been having. The good thing is that they are in a pretty protected area, so I am sure all is fine, but unfortunately the sound is not showing off it's beauty for their trip.

This is an annual thing, right? I will be on board to connect up on the second annual AAB Alaska trek...

We are back at Pete's house and all are OK , our trip was/is, TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME . I can't tell y'all what it looks like up here [ we leave tomorrow ] ya just have to see it for yourselves . The mountains are AWESOME, The Water has AWESOME color, The Eagles are AWESOME and HUGE, and it just goes on and on .

If you ever come up here , GET A BOAT, it's the best way to see EVERYTHING.

Pictures will follow soon , heck , maybe even a slide show.

Sorry we missed you Jrodgers. Whittier had shorts and Teva sandles type weather  . Me being the Oooompa Loompa of the group and the boat Patience being designed for someone 6'6" I was in a very comfortable zone. We all had plenty of deck space to fish, have dinner at the table like kings and Saw some very serious logs when we became too exhausted from laughing.

Epic trip! We had an OUTSTANDING time, caught some fish, flat seas, great conversation, and ate like kings. I won't mention any names, but somebody shorter than 6 foot had a couple long distance releases on some big flatties. One exceptional fish that spit the hook after a 45 minute battle. :banghead: Good stuff boys! :highfive:

Let's do it again!

Bluffman, words and Pictures can't describe Alaska, it's a place you just have to see....

It would be cool if we could get 3 or 4 boats to commit to a 3 or 4 day weekend next year , we could meet off shore , side tie up and party OR meet in Washington and make Pacific Boats put us up for a alloy party  , JUlie , what say you ?

For those that could not make the trip with us this year ,well, we had a spot at the rail for y'all .....

Jay, next time just TELL your wife your going .
Stephen, next time tape a hair buddy.
Don, you should not have had so many girls that wanted to get married and/or go to collage in the same year.

That's OK men, you were not forgotten while we were up there being beaten into submission by Capt Pete and forced to fish and shrimp until ungodly hours of the day and night [ ya don't know the time of day when it's light 20 hours a day ] we cussed y'all for not showing up and making it harder on us to keep up to the DREAD Capt Pete, ARRRRRRR.

Anyways , you guys had a spot at the rail and you were there with us in Spirit...
