Re: 26 supertop engine choice

Suzuki DF300 - Amazing engine. Very, very quiet. Big prop. Fly-by-wire. 50mph WOT with a nice cruise of 36mph at 3500 RPM using 12gph (3 mpg). The V26ST/Zuke 300 combo is the best boat/motor combo we've ever done. I don't think you could ask for a better endorsement than that and that would be my p...

About twice a year I grease everything. This brings up another subject that is a pet pev of mine. Grease Guns. There are 2 handed grease guns and 3 handed grease guns. Say What? Yes. You need a flex hose to get to tight areas. If you put a flex hose on this stile grease gun it is now a 3 han...

Bring the Stem up higher. About the height where the center upright of the bow rail is and then replot the line of the raised sheer. What you have there is a Droopy nose. :( Even the pix I posted could use a slight rise of the stem. I'd rather see the bow area with the Stem slightly higher than the ...

I'm just not use to those low profile boats.

I sure as heck don't want to go that fast.

Crossing Pensacola Bay or running up Perdio Bay would be a challenge.

The lines are wrong at the bow. that up and radical down is not smooth and flowing.

To high in the middle and to low at the bow.

Try again. Think Classic sheer line of the info mus Carolina Flair.

I personally hate droopy nosed boats. Cape Horn, Fountain and there are more.

I use Valvoline Moly EP for Ford/ Lincoln on everything I have. Been using it a Loooooog time. In case you were wondering? There is a Valvoline Moly EP for Ford/ Lincoln and another for GM/Mopar. The reason is Ford/ Lincoln has a Mil spec on it. They have a higher standard. yet when you think about ...

I did. It was a weird spot that I had to get into to load a car. This was on my car hauling trailer that it was on.

But I've seen several of them bent. Just can't get them high enough.

Some of that would depend on your tow vehicle too. A f-350 is going to sit higher than a F-150.

Re: trailer

Thanks for the info. WartHog5....did you get the 15" wheels? Also, what size boat do you have and is it a blackLab/Pacific? Where do you fish mostly and if in the Gulf....how far do you venture offshore? Do you have a single or twin engine setup? Any advice in boat purchasing would be helpful....

I don't know if it would be worth it to you, but you could add a additional electric turner and have a foot treadle to turn it on. Have a radical gear ratio on it so it will turn slow. Just have it as a belt drive.

The SS engine bolts also need to isolated from the transom by 4200.
I like to add a nylon /plastic flat washer the same size as the stainless flat washer under the stainless flat washer.

These are usually a little hard to find in the correct size, but they can be ordered from McMaster Car.

Yep. I've seen a LOT worse. Note the White wire holders that are stick on that have come loose. Those work, but I add a Dab of 5min epoxy to them. I've seen people use 5200 on them. :( It makes a hell'va mess with 5200. I'm not understanding the buss bars either? I've been installing the BEP cluster...
