Re: Decks
No offense to any of the previous posts. I would have to say no to the diamond plate and I can show you the scars to prove it. The spray in liners add a little weight but are very durable and shy of ponding chemicals/fuel I dont believe a few drops quickly cleaned up will harm it. We have always bee...

Re: Seattle Boat Show Pix
Why yes it is. It hit the water for the first time the day before the show therefore not alot of photos. We did some testing on the way back as you will see below. The SRX will be offered from 31-37ft for a great multi function/patrol/police/rescue/etc platform. The original concept was to have a hy...

Re: ColdWater 3100 Pilothouse
Hello Jim, we have lots of opinions on painting an aluminum boat. One might say it is a damned if you do or damned if you dont scenario. We all know that there is no need to paint an alloy boat but it does appeal from a cosmetic standpoint to a large majority of our customers now. If you are going t...

Nothing based out of San Fran. A few will fish outside and drop down from Oregon.
Point well taken on the photo size. They will be larger....

Re: ColdWater 3100 Pilothouse
Is that a gas cooktop? Where is the gas tank stored? Yes. It is a propane oven/cooktop. I will post a photo when i regain access to the main computer. But if you look at the aluminum step/storage boxes on the rear-deck. The bottle is located on the starboard side next to the second steer station. P...

Re: ColdWater 3100 Pilothouse
A work of art. Russ what are you using for the interior ceiling panels? I like it. Depends on the boat. In this case we used mahogany skins with a naugahyde cover, we have used mahogany skins with leather or vinyl. Or most of our charter boats with have frp paneling or a really nice perforated alum...

Re: ColdWater 3100 Pilothouse
Thanks AlloyToy, I dont want to overwhelm our welcome just make up for some lost time. We currently have the same bottoms on all our models, depending on where you measure our entry is 60-70 degrees, 20 degrees at transom, 10" reverse chine and 6 lifting strakes. Seems to be a nice balance.

Re: ColdWater 3300 WalkAround
Is there an advantage to having the motor bracket less than full width on the bottom? Would it make sense to have a full width swimstep/motor bracket? It might. We did it one time and the performance was difficult to tell any measurable difference, keep in mind we use 12"x12" Lenco trim t...

Re: ColdWater 3300 WalkAround
Russ, are your boats self-bailing and do you inject flotation under the floor like Pacific? I do love my Pacific but as I get older I need to be closer to a head and more out of the elements as well. Yes, all our boats are self bailing including all our floor hatches. The walk around could be compl...

Not trying to high jack this great thread but it dawned on me as I was reading it that there are a number of us AABers who will be attending the Seattle Boat Show at the end of January and how great it would be if we could get together. Since I don't live in Seattle and don't know any of the Seattl...

Good idea. Received your message on the other thread. When you work out the details with the other members we will be there. In addition, this may be a good time to toss in a few goodies. I will provide 1 day entry tickets at will call for the first 20 AAB members to send me a PM. (Please attach you...
