I'll take a wild guess that a 1978 SeaCraft is a deep V boat ,21 degree deadrise????? You will drift faster in the Pacific. You need to make those kinda comparisons yourself, though to meet your needs. Comparisons would be like asking which is better a Hummer versus a 1978 Caddy?? Weight carrying ab...

Fella's remember I live in a small world......meaning I don't get out much. And Miami boat show is like going to Mars for me. My Business doesn't allow me to go, anywhere. But I'm glad to hear that the Rolls axles aren't a secret. That's a good thing. Because if you can afford one. Its worth every p...

Alloy Toy, Heck, email safeboats.com and ask them. I think we've had this discussion before. I have no problems and I have a t-ducer on my transom on the plate provided. That's why I thought they were there? I would never drill a hole through my boat for such a thing, personally. Always had transom ...

I be in the deeeep south, and sometimes wouldn't mind being even deeper. And I notice that if I'm in the blazing sun, in July when it's probably 110 degree's and there's no wind blowing not even a puff and the water temp is 88+ degrees, my deck gets pretty warm. 8) HOLY CRAP! But so did my ole 23 Ma...

100 MILES EACH WAY, TO FISH?????? I can see this forum is gonna be full of diehards Welder! Because that takes commitment. (like yourself to Port O Conner?) I moved closer to the boat ramp, and now I'm 7 minutes away, versus the 12 minutes I used to drive......(Minutes not miles.) I think I'm gonna ...

Re: Trailers
I have a bunk trailer with the torsion bar suspension. No problems. Nice ride. It doesn't mean much if we don't know where ya are?? N or S on the compass needle....hahahah Kevin, I can tell ya' it's not a Ford, Chevy, Dodge thing here, which was the point of the question, and stemmed from observati...

Northern Trailers?????????
Seems that from at least N.J. to Canada everyone has rollers on their trailers. Not all "so called" boat ramps look like a shallow bank. Do they? My only experience is one I saw on Long Beach Island in NJ. It seemed fine. I was just wondering. Because they look to be maintenance nightmares...

How I use my boat... Jan. 6,7,8,10th revised
Is this where I put fish pix and reports?? I guess so, so here I go.... Had a wonderful few days. Didn't put a whole lot of $$ in the bank, because for some unknown reason people LOCALLY don't remember that the first two weeks of January is usually PERFECT weather. But like Jerry Sienfeld...I'm alwa...

Yeah.........I KNEW IT. All I had to do is see that hole in the floor and have my fine knowledge of marine hardware and 2 and 2 together, meant just one thing, of those bad BACK SIDE hatches, like a real commercial boat has. Although I have seen them on a 27 Conch from Massapoiset, Mass. Wish I had ...

Question for Jay at BLM
Was wondering in the last few photos I saw of the new super sleeper cab,
what it looked like, in the end.
IE:
-the box up on the stern...was that a livewell?
-and was the larger cut out in the floor for an "aluminum" deck hatch versus, the Armstrong compression "spin-out"?
what it looked like, in the end.

Fishin' fishin' fishin'..12 months a year, the inshore way
Been there done that.....is an old saying that usually means. "Don't bother asking, because this is the way I do it now." And that also applies to me. I fished several NON ALLOY boats, and always came back to the memories of the first boat that was ever "all mine". A 1970's somet...
