That it? Anything else? How about a heated warehouse to park the truck, trailer and boat in?

Re: $1M buys this much alloy
Welder: Before bidding $100 shouldn't we inspect what we are bidding on? The boat is on Vashon Island -- 20 min ferry ride from Seattle. I would think the sellers would be happy to show the merchandise.

Re: 2001 Seaark Marine VC
Reserve for the GSA auctions is overrated. If you have the winning bid when the auction closes and the reserve isn't met, you are in a position to negotiate the price. Little known secret.. is that it's possible that the agency will sell for the price at closing despite it not meeting the reserve.

All the luck in your new pursuits, Jay. Your detailed explanations of aluminum hull design and building techniques were a great benefit to me. Learned a lot by it. It was much appreciated.

Here's a 1974 Striker Canyon Runner on ebay. Don't know the boat -- whether it's welded or riveted. But I love seeing 35 year old aluminum hulls like this still in operation.

Interesting hunting technique how the predator uses its sword or bill to first subdue its prey.
I was thinking a rig that would release on impact and flutter around like wounded would be effective there.

Fishing, crabbing, diving and camping from the boat. That about covers it all. That's the life! Enjoy all.

Re: Pacific 1925 first day out
Nice boat. Like the twins. F60's did I hear? I bought sight unseen once from across the country and another time I flew out to inspect and then pulled trigger. Both instances involved towing x-country. West to east in my case. Makes for some interesting trailering stories. Any you'd like to share? h...

Are you planning to build the sponsons yourself or have them fabbed somewhere?

Re: Alloy On The Road
Ya know, the state has a SeaArk out at the Quabbin Reservoir. I don't think that's it though. If I remember correctly the Quabbin boat is a tri-hull version. But I could be wrong.
Everytime I sighted the state boat it was at a distance that I just could not close with my 25HP regulated boat.

Definitely a SeaArk. VC Commander 25 or 27, I'd say.
Wish I had twin Hondas like those.
Note the AC and genset. Must be getting warm in Massachusetts.
