Put A Cork In It
Had to replace my GPS antenna. Hit the crapper after 9 years or use. The cable seal connection I had was all dry rotted and the plastic had cracked. Didn't feel like running to the marine store as the crappy weather was moving in. The little lady saves her wine bottle corks so I put one to good use ...

Re: Duck boat plans
Not to change the subject but I was pretty darn impressed by the new welded construction boats Lowe is building. A guy at the ramp over at Quonnie was pulling his 20' out so I had a chance to check it out....simply put the boat is rugged and well build for a production boat. Here is the link...I lik...

Marine Cushions
My cushions are shot on the rear seat. I'm seriously thinking about installing bean bag cushions this time around We have the bean bags for the long offshore trips and I think it would be a great addition for the rear facing bench seat
Anyone done this?

Re: Duck boat plans
Welcome to the forum. Duck Boat is on my short list as well. I have seen where they take a Sunfish day sailer and turn it into a nice shallow water duck boat. Jack Winninghoff has made Duck Boats for the crew that hunts the open water. Here is a link: http://www.winninghoff.com/common/index.php?com=...

Looks good he's even making his own cleats... Is this the guy who is using Response for the designs? Hi Rick, I'm really not sure if he is or not. I hope to swing by his shop and take a closer look maybe on the weekend.....he did a lot of welding on my buddies boat when he built it a few...

Re: 20ft pacific skiff
Great boat! Not sure of your intentions but I was in the 20' vs 23' dilemma I can tell you the 23' is just as easy for a single person to handle as the 20' with the right trailer. Plus it will get you out in the near offshore waters with a little more piece of mind. Mine is kept in Charlestown RI if...

Thanks goatram No shots fired but had the bear attacked her would have been quickly subdued with 10 swift 9mm rounds I don't hunt anymore without a hand gun. Just too many bears, too many stupid people feeding the bears, and not enough hunting any longer

Last Trip For Season
Ran out on Sat with a buddy to hit the Tog grounds off Newport one last time. Bit cold in the AM but with a warm front approaching it was only going to warm as the morning went on. At the dock 7AM 21 degree air temp and 38 degree water temp in the harbor. We were escorted throughout the harbor by sm...
