I'm curious why you didn't extend the seat in front of the console to the floor and have it as an extra storage locker ?
I like the upright helm for nav screens, nice !

Re: How to Build a Small Business !
A 26' Bill Lincoln designed CC built by Bob (WelderBob) is on my bucket list. I like to buy local food and locally made boats. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to buy new at the moment so the V23HT in Greenport would have been a temporary cure for my two foot-itis. It sold before I could even take a g...

I have to say, I like that helm. Integrate the display(s). I wish Pacific would do more like these.

Re: Maine Craigslist
NEB let that finish pass ? Very ghetto. and yes, the dome lights, the plastic gimbaled drink holders (they may work, but not on this boat!), and why couldn't Hunt integrate the display(s) at the helm ? I sort of understand why the NW builders don't do it, but this boat's too high end to have slap da...

Re: Repainting my Pacific flooring
Dumb question perhaps but how do you drill the screws out? break the head off first then drill? I have struggled with these things before and they are a pain in the but! I'd try to back out the screw with an impact driver. If the head breaks off, I take a pointed metal punch and dimple the center o...

New Windshield
Well, finally got around to seeing Welder Bob for a new windshield to replace my crazed, cracked and barely together old one.
A lot taller and a lot more protection. Though, like Jettywolf, I may need a wiper...

Re: Pacific Windshield ?
First question is where in NY. I'm on Long ?island. You could have a 1" pipe frame bent up. weld a tab in each corner. and bolt a piece of Lexan in there. You could also do something similar if you need a wing window. Add a picture when possible, I'm sure more ideas will fly. Welderbob That's ...

Re: Pacific Windshield ?
gandrfab I'll try to get a pic in the next few days posted -boat's under tarp for winter... and Jettywolf, I think you're right about a wrap around hand rail for the windshield, as my friends tend to want to grab the top of the shield when we hit waves. I'll have to find someone local who can weld ...

Pacific Windshield ?
Have any Pacific owners out there had to replace their windshield yet ? My 11 yr 1925v has been crazing in the corners since I got it 5 yrs ago and pieces of top have now cracked off. $445 + shipping for a new one is what Julie quoted me - I'm just wondering if anyone's had the same issue and ponied...

Re: Painting the deck?
The hulls made back around 2000 had a different type of non skid , a couple years later Pacific found and uses a better product, it's just the evolution of building.[/quote Clearly my boat has been improved upon, but how do you know so much about Pacific through the years? Have you been following t...

Re: Painting the deck?
How the hell are you missing paint on the deck. That Farwest stuff is so damn tough. What was the boat doing hauling concrete blocks???? I can't even imahine what it would take to scratch that paint off the deck??? My hull is 10 yrs old. I suspect the formulation of the paint has changed or it's an...

Re: Painting the deck?
Jettywolf - I wonder if mine had Nyalic ? I don't think it does and I am inclined not to put on a clear coat of any kind afterward. Did the FarWest rep/tech you spoke to recommend clear coating after ? This is looking more and more like a Spring project, as the Bass run is on and by the time it stop...

Re: Painting the deck?
How much of it actually needs to be replaced? It looks like a relatively small area in the stern. Why not keep it simple and grind/paint that area only and see how it looks? Agreed - I was thinking of just doing the area up to the console ( an arbitrary straight line across the beginning of the con...
