I am looking for suggestions on a epoxy based bottom paint for my aluminum boat. The boat is kept on a lift or on trailer all the time. Not really worried about marine growth.
But I am looking for a paint to more protect my bottom from corrosion and wear from the bunks and lift.
Any suggestions?

how to test for Electrolysis with multimeter
Im getting some corrosion on my boat, and found a cut positive connector touching bare aluminum so hopefully the problem is taken care of. I used a multimeter after I fixed this connector just to check and see if there was anything else. I did this by touching the negative side to the aluminum trail...

Re: Anyway to insulate aluminum fishbox
Has anyone ever tried a ceramic type coating or additive to paint and coat with that?

Anyway to insulate aluminum fishbox
Is this possible? Is there some kind of coating I could put in a aluminum fishbox to help it hold ice? If not any ideas of what I could do

Re: 36ft Center Console boat build
Im gonna stick with twin 350 Yamaha's I think, it definitely would be nice to come in from the canyon on two if I lost one but I like to keep it pretty simple.

Re: 36ft Center Console boat build
The boat is being built at Gaudet boats, its was not a kit we had a navel architect design it. After he was done though its like putting the puzzle together now all the pieces fit together without out any other cutting other than the original cuts at the water jet. The plate is 5/16" on the bot...

36ft Center Console boat build
I thought I would share my boat build as this is my first aluminum boat and I'm sure I will be seeking any helpful info during the build. The design process took almost 6 months and welding started about 2 weeks ago.
