I picked up a crappy canoe last year, best $50. bucks I ever spent. I use it in the ponds, and even in the Nauset marsh (local estuary). Easy to pull up on sand bars, and the fuel economy is out of this world.

No kidding, unfortunately they sent the dies separately. So no nice smooth bends until next week. Don't worry, everyone will be sick of hearing about, and seeing new pictures of stuff I bend up. I think I am going to order a pipe/tube notcher tonight. It should help me a bit with the fit up of pipe....

Oh Yeah, UPS just dropped off my BRAND NEW BENDER!! I'll talk about that more later.

Yes, I am interested in different designs. The reason I built them straight up and down, is because I had a customer that wanted one that way. I think the "rocket launcher" type would be much cooler, and I plan to build some.

Last night right before I fell asleep, this idea came to me. What if I made the repair panel for the bottom so it extended past the transom 2 1/2' or so, and built the outboard bracket off of that? Like Coldwater boats. Just an idea.

I agree, I won't be happy unless it is "right". As right as I can make it. Fortunately my friend that came to look at what I've got going on won't touch anything his name will be attached to unless it is done well.
