Re: I think I found a project boat!!
You're right Jetty. Just kidding about the project boat. The real project is a home port relocation. We are buying a house in Gulf Port FL. About 70 miles south of our current Hernando spot. As for the boat it is sitting at the Coast Guard Aux. here in Hernando Beach. There is a well though the cent...

Re: Jim @ BOE is a big problem...
Jim reeled me two weeks ago Garmin vhf 200 and an antenna. I to am eying up Lowrance. Side imaging is on the list. I like the Humminbird unit, but it doesn't support N2K networking. I am comfortable with N2K and want to fully integrate it on the boat.

Re: A better hull zinc set-up was needed
Hello Chaps. While your installation is mechanically elegant, I have some thoughts about its electrical properties. The stainless is more noble than both the aluminum hull and the zinc anode. Will this cause a galvanic corrosion barrier to develop at both junctures? The resistance that occurs from t...

Luv my Stabicraft! Not too sure about the E-tec
We got stuck in the Gulf the other day. After a bit of fishing when I turned on the key. Nothing nada only silence. After a bit of investigation The 10 amp fuse to the motor control circuit was found to be blown. Unfortunately it continues to pop when the key is turned on. Isolating the EMM buy unpl...

Rectangle on the roof is a 30 watt panel. This was from batterystuff.com. It uses a pulse charge controller. The panel has a stainless steel pack plane. It has worked well so far.

Re: Long awaited LEDS floods.
When selecting LED running lights. Pick lights that use the correct LED color. A white LED behind a green lens will passes only the green portion of the light spectrum filtering the remainder. If the LED generates the light in the green portion of the spectrum all of the light will pass though the g...

My Stabicraft has 5 bar aluminum plate. The finish has oxidized to a light haze and seems to provide good traction. Google 5 bar aluminum plate, or check the Stabi site.

Re: Alloy Invades Florida
Jetty, looks may be deceiving. The boat is 24’ keel with an 8’2” beam. The Etec is a 250 hp. I think Pacific makes a great boat. If BOE would have added the trailer it would have been a sale. When that didn’t fly, my search found Stabicraft. The ride was the deal maker. As for BOE they support us an...
