Re: shore landing and deep V

I ended up buying a 26 foot pacific boat out of Marysville Washington. They were extremely helpful. They produced an amazing boat that will allow me to do everything that I want it to. It handles nicely and I look forward to many years of fishing in the San Juan’s.

Re: Twin engines vs motor plus kicker

Thanks, I was leaning towards twin motors except I couldn't come up with a good reason.

Twin engines vs motor plus kicker

Going to build a 26 Pacific sleeper. I will use the boat for everything including trolling for salmon. I am wondering about people’s thoughts on the pros and cons.
Thanks!

Re: shore landing and deep V

Thanks for the great info. At high tide, it won't matter. At low tide it can be sketchy. I am looking at a 24 or 26 pacific with 18 inch dead rise. i am looking at others as well. I hope to have a boat I can fish most weather, but not the bad stuff, but also shore land to a cabin on an island.

shore landing and deep V

Hello all,
I am planning on a build of the "perfect" boat for shore landing and salmon fishing in the ocean. I wonder about the higher dead rise and coming to shore to unload gear at a cabin. I appreciate peoples thoughts.

Anybody have experience with Pacific boats 26 footer. I wonder how it handles in the ocean with an 18 degree dead rise.

Re: 24 foot boat build for Northwest

I have talked to Chad and viewed the boat under construction. I will likely meet with him. I have also talked to Pacific Boats. I will likely meet with them to see if I can build what I need. Want a rear access cabin with a good true walk around as I need access to the shore over the bow. I have Gra...

24 foot boat build for Northwest

Hello, New to the site, but long time guest. Need to decide on the builder to build/configure a +/- 24 foot aluminum boat with the ability to shore land to a cabin in the San Juans as well as fish/crab/shrimp off the coast of Vancouver island and Barkley sound. I currently own a Grady White 204 walk...
