Re: pacific assassin build
A little project for the new boat. I have been debating between a kill bag rack or a tote. I figure since I already have several 30"x60" kill bags I would go this way. I like the totes for having a platform to set pots on to empty but when you already have something that can work hard not ...

Re: pacific assassin build
at last the trailer is done. I was not sure which one would be done first. The boat or the trailer lol. It is Tuff trailers TA 8500T with a 8500# load capacity. Hopefully no issues for a few years. The front crossmember I had moved up between the frame rails so it was not hanging down so low. On the...

Re: pacific assassin build
kicker bracket welded up, also finalized placement for transducer mounting brackets.
If the main motors don't come in for a while I can at least run it on the T8 kicker and forgo using oars and making Vroom Vroom noises. lol

Re: pacific assassin build
side dive door, I was not sure on this option. I figure that it will make boarding easier on that side (as I get even older lol) and also easier for loading and unloading the boat at home. I think the handles/braces will be a knee knocker might have to wrap the pipe handles with foam that can come o...

Re: pacific assassin build
the front smaller boxes are mounts for the shockwave seat bases. Waiting on parts for them to come in, ah boatbuilding in the 2020's, hurry up and wait on parts. These will stay open with no door on them. The larger compartments will have the tops opened up when the seat bases come in and we know ho...

Re: pacific assassin build
Up under the dash on the front bulk head is another piece of starboard for mounting electronics too. Again so that a person does not have to drill into the aluminum and have holes in it. I like it a lot. I am debating on if I should have another plate for a fourth battery welded up in the front lock...

Re: pacific assassin build
Overhead console with gutter channel on the sides. There is power up there and starboard on the base of the overhead console so that I do not have to drill into the aluminum to mount radio's. The starboard is really a nice touch that I would not have thought of.

Re: pacific assassin build
three batteries will go all the way forward under the dash and the battery switches and panel will go up on the wall on the right hand side. The auto pilot pump will be mounted under the battery switch (at least thats the plan for now lol). Still thinking if I want the pump in the cabin or back of t...

went up to check on the boat again and brought full size templates of everything that will be mounted in the dash. The center is of course the steering wheel and the lower blue box is bilge pump. The shift throttle controls is up on the upper right platform. Wiring is getting started. 20211108_07152...

Re: pacific assassin build
Current dash layout. Swcond or third revision lol. I was going with a pair SMG4's. They are hard to get and by going with the SMD7 or 9 I can hook up the airmar SS175M to it. I am hooking up a SS175HW to the TZT3 but cannot hook up the M with the HW. Medium and low or high and low are ok, but high a...

Re: pacific assassin build
the dive door and rub rail. I figure that it will be nice down the road to not have to climb over the sides of the boat and just step into the boat. It will also make it a lot easier to load ice and gear into the boat from the ground level. 20211007_080439-1.jpg a shot from the bow 20211007_080511-1...

The bow area, there is 3' between the bow storage locker and front of the cabin. The storage area is 4' from the nose to the back edge. Plenty of room for anchor and rope, fender bumpers ect. Going to be little tight going around the corner.

A view of the dash. Going to have a 12" furuno tzt3 recessed into the dash right above the steering wheel. A Garmin 1042XSV in the cutout on the left. Two 6 switch panel switch panels. The second panel will be just to the right of the one that is shown. I am going with either two SMG4 gauges ab...

the canyon (lol) down the middle is 15' long annd the 200 gallon tank will fill up 10' of it. I am going to have a access hatch in the cabin to gain access to this. Starboard will be placed in the bottom for a flat floor. It should be a good spot for a custom kill bag for ice or fish if needed. It s...

Re: pacific assassin build
Back in late June I gave Julie a call up at Pacific Boats in Marysville WA a call and talked to her (again, it had been a few years) about pricing and coming up and looking at boats. Julie still had me on her contact list from when I requested info years ago lol. Pacific boats builds about 50% of th...
