Well guys it's SOLD! Deal closed on the 10th and now it is up in Sitka Ak. A nice couple, originally from Georgia, bought it.
The drive way looks barren now
Well had to what I had to do.
I'm thinking, very seriously, about moving to the Keys. Thinking Islamorada.

A jack or that metal roll-on jack are worthless on gravel or hot asphalt. A few boards does the trick.

Re: Scrap the rod, bring a bluddy Helmet!
We have a trash fish problem on the Columbia. It use to be called a "Squaw Fish" however, the indians didn't think it was PC. So now the name is pikeminnow. Here there is an increasing bounty on them, "The 2011 season for the sport-reward fishery will start at all stations on May 1, 2...

All states have committees for that, however, getting anything done requires pulling teeth.

Re: Welding a fuel tank?
Not that I'm a welder, however, my Dad taught welding to the Navy guys many moons ago. Dad is long gone, so I can't ask him all the details, but I remember he mentioned that he welded gas tanks by filling them up with water and leaving them filled as he welded. My thinking to that is he filled the t...

Re: Props are not Safe.
All rescue scenarios are different. While not required by CG on my boat, I have a life-ring attached to a 50' bagged, floating rope. This way I can: throw, shut down and retrieve person to back swim platform. As I said, every situation is different.

Polywave I can't tell from the pics, but do you run a prop or jet on your boat? Do YOU have a prop guard on the main? I have one on my kicker, but that is to keep the lines, not my clients, out of the prop. :rotfl: It's apparent to me that you just want to play some kind of game. You said you can't...

Re: 26' Pacific Fishing Machine PRICE DROPPED AGAIN
Thanks Dave! The first part of this year has been tough. Had to have surgery on my left foot. Getting better, but it's been a bear to get around. Just tired of hurting :hammer: . On the other side, the Columbia is above flood stage. Fish can be caught, but I just can't justify in bring clients out f...

"After last year’s verdict, Brunswick issued a statement saying they “stand behind our products, which are used safely and properly by boaters around the world.”
What Brunswick should have said is;
We stand behind our products, but we aren't stupid enough to swim behind them.

Re: FISHRITE BOATS
Les, Fishright is made in this area. As long as the boat checks out, welds, no bent chines etc. they are a good boat. Many of the "sleds" are made with a 6 to 10 degree bottom. They can run flat out in shallow water but will beat the crap out of you then it gets rough out. Let me know what...
