Thanks Kevin,
I've decided to buy a new trailer. This trailer is overloaded and I trailer too often and too far to make it worth the risk.
Thanks again!

Crack in aluminum I beam Trailer - Fixable?
Greetings, I posted this on another forum, but we have better aluminum expertise here. I just noticed a small crack in the bottom of my Venture I Beam trailer where the axle is bolted on. Pictures below. Normally over the winter I block the trailer frame to take the load off of the suspension. Th...

Re: Pacific 2025
Patrisage, yes spot on, the boat performed exactly as you describe. The welded on chines totally changed the ride for the better, it was dramatic and 100% worth it. Of course you can still stuff the bow if not careful, but the hull's performance is vastly improved all around. I go real slow over t...

My 04 also still looks good. With a powerwash probably would look new.
I couldn't get your links to work for some reason.

Chaps, thank you! Unfortunately that is not a great prognosis for me.
So is the solution to re-gasket the windows with a different material? Any recommendations on how to proceed?

Re: Mill Scale
Finally got around to acid washing my top over the holiday weekend. I couldn't find Zep A Lume and used a product called Aluminex that I found in a local marine store. Was pretty easy and straightforward. Faceshield, mask gloves and full bunny suit. Applied the acid with a foam brush and wound up ap...

Re: Mill Scale
Haven't done it yet, been too busy fishing! Maybe this weekend I'll get to it.
Did run into Clambo yesterday at the ramp in Barrington. Also saw another Pacifc HT on the water (23' maybe) in the Mount Hope Bay area yesterday.

OK thank you for the confirmation. It's such a small area, I think I'm gonna try applying by wiping it on with a sponge, cloth or similar, followed by a hose off.

Mill Scale
Greetings AAB, I hope everyone is having a good spring. This picture from a recent outing, I like it as it makes the boat look big! The undercarriage of the hard top shows mill scale flowering correct? The topside was all ground uniformly and has a nice weathered grey. The underside looks like ...

Wow, the wrap and the decking look awesome! Good timing to sell this rig, I don't think you will have any problems finding a buyer for this.

Scupper Flapper Valve for Pacific
Does anyone know what make scupper flapper valve assembly is used by Pacific on a V2025, or perhaps suggest an alternative. Both of mine need to be replaced.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Heavier Gauge Trailer Wiring
Yes sir, nothing is grounded to the trailer. The flooring on the bunks is going to be a home run I think. Seems to provide the right amount of slide but not slippery.

Re: Heavier Gauge Trailer Wiring
https://photos.app.goo.gl/95jCv4cGyhW8BNXb7 Trying to post some pics of the rebuilt trailer but this site does not make it easy. Covered the bunks with a 'commercial' vinyl flooring product that I found at Home Depot. Seems to be a good solution so far, time will tell, only cost $30 and easy to wor...

Heavier Gauge Trailer Wiring
Greetings, I will be rebuilding my aluminum I beam trailer in the coming weeks, basically replacing all of the hardware that is rusting out. My biggest headache with my trailer is the wiring. The typical 18 gauge (or so) wiring just does not last with the salt exposure. I even dunk my rig in fresh w...

Remove Foam On Wheel?
Greetings, On my '04 Pacific, the stainless wheel is coated with a grey grip foam that is starting to get crunchy and nasty. I'm thinking I could cut most of it off with a blade and then clean it up using a solvent. Seems like a perfectly good SS wheel under the foam, rather then buying a new wheel....

Pacific 2025
Greetings, It's been a LONG time since I have posted. While I peruse the site occasionally, I figured with the shutdown who is not looking for fish and alloy pics!?! I bought my 2004 Pacific 2025, used in 2008. It has been a great boat however, it did have some issues. I posted about this years ago ...

The last few trips have been spent looking for top water action only, really hoping to find Bones or Albies as this has been a goal for me since getting the boat four years ago. The seasonal window is small for these fish and considerably smaller for me living 80 miles away, I only get a couple of s...
