Re: Stupid Pacific question??
I always pull my plug and drain the bilge, I always get water in my bilge, even when it's sitting on the trailer, from rain water but it's never enough to kick the bilge pump on Pull the access hatch and look down in the bilge, if you see water, Then you should pull the plug and drain it If it's dry...

I'll try to post some build photos of the current V23 being built. Thanks Julie Pacific Boats http://www.pacificboats.com Hel...

I'm not sure about apples to apples, I still need to run it some more and get a better report while trying to get a grip on the way the boat runs I was distracted really bad when my wife pulled her bikini top off and we ran over to a remote beach for a few cold beverages, somehow the technical stuff...

Here's the update mechanic that changed my oil and gear oil told me he thought I had a bad 02 sensor and He was pretty sure it had one tight valve and suggested taking it to Honda authorized repair for the warranty work and diagnostic on the valves. by ear, he feels like he can hear a tight valve So...

I think the corrosion on the transom has nothing to do with stray current or wiring, It's caused from salt being trapped between the transom and the motor mount. the traped salt with no oxygen ends up corroding I could be wrong JohnnyMac posted this on another thread that concernec corrosion 2. Crev...

Re: 23' Black Lab/Honda 225 engine mounting height
trying to gain a few things My honda gets a good drenching from spray in a cross wind, so I'd like to eliminate the spray as much as possible and eliminate running with the engine trimmed so far up. Running trimmed down it will porpose and you never really get the sweet spot where the hull breaks lo...

Re: 23' Black Lab/Honda 225 engine mounting height
I started a post on this earlier, I'm dealing with the same issue. I'm running a 140 on a 20' Pacific. I had a local marina ($20) raise my engine up from the lowest to the 3rd hole early in the season. The result was a 25% gain in efficiency, I'm gonna go up one more to the last hole at the end of ...

I have never been able to turn sharp enough at WOT to break the prop lose, It will cut as tight as I am brave enough to run it
without breaking free......

Endangered Red Snapper
Season opened June 1so we got a crew together and went after some snapper Started out about 14 miles out on some natural bottom using live pinfish and got our limit of 2 per person off one spot, we had a drift line out with wire leader and caught 1 king mackeral. Then we headed out to the southwest ...

update
The lag bolts are just shy of penetrating all the way through the bunk board
the tip of the bolt is about 3/16" from coming thru
Do you think my hull would be pitted?

Bunk Trailer and Galvanic corrosion

Re: WTB Penn 113HN Baja Special
Nat , start with some 113's or 114's on a cheap 80lb to 120lb rods. The LEVER DRAG reel is nice though because in one quick movement you are set on kill . It's what you learn with and get used too but you don't have to buy a $1000.00 reel to fish the way we do . When I was out West [till 94], the p...
