Stability is good, roller is about 16 inches wide. Was going to battery power motorize it, but
figured that was overkill !
Guess you could add some rod holders for the surf fishing folks.

Aluminum cooler cart
Made this cart up to haul my beach gear over the sand from the boat, holds a cooler, beach chairs, beach
bag and beach umbrella. Sand flotation provided by a good old boat fender with a thru hole.
Makes for a good extra seat as well.

Re: Plugs for alloy boats?
Are the Tenob drain plugs available anyplace in the U.S. ?
I have a Quintrex with the same plugs and would like to get a spare or two.
Thanks, Jim

Re: Water Temp !
Couple pics from saturday the 20th 2010. Pics are at the Narrow River in Rhode island, my Quintrex with a new 50hp Yamaha efi and my grand daughter collecting shells. Was an awsome day to be on the water. I threw some small bait around in the river looking for schoolies, but no luck. Was plenty of b...

Not an alloy kayak but an alloy trail bike project
Decided to build an aluminum trail bike for my granddaughter and i to ride. Its built from aluminum tubing all tig welded. Motor is a Honda 200 motorcycle engine, geared very low. Wheels are 23x12x9 run at 4 to 5 psi. Have some more work to do but its getting close. Fabricating an aluminum exhaust s...

Re: Pipe bender
What were the prices you were getting on the aluminum stock ?
I have been toying with the idea of welding up a 17/18 foot skiff.

Re: Quintrex?
I have a 16 ft Quintrex wide body with a windshield and forward steering. Its a wonderful aluminum boat. I have had tin boats for 40 years, many brands. The Quintrex is by far the best with the wide beam, welded hull etc. It gets extensive use in Narragansett bay, been running it there for the last ...

Re: Looking to buy a tig welder
Nate Buy the most amperage you can afford with a water cooled torch. The smaller tig machines with air cooled torches won't be happy welding a lot of 3/16 aluminum plate. I am partial to Miller machines, but it would be hard to buy a bad machine from any of the top names. A bigger used machine will ...

Roller trailer
I don't understand why anyone would want a bunk trailer. Why put the whole trailer in the water to load, just for the extra salt ? A roller trailer is a one man show on and off, steep ramp or no ramp ! It self centers the boat and the boat rolls on and off with ease. Yes i am a north east guy, been ...
