Re: LED lights

Check out our LED lights, we have great lights, with more selection and just as good as Rigid for far less money..... http://pacificpowertraininc.com/product-category/led-lighting/light-bars/ I concur. Put two of these on the back of my boat and love them. Smaller profile, less draw, longer life. S...

Welcome Kim!
That looks like a sweet setup you have coming together! I know how you feel about not being home; just arrived in the southern Philippines for another 6 month rotation. Remember to post lots of pics of the maiden voyage!

Pjay9,
My nav lights are in the exact same position. She is a USCG inspected and documented boat and they didn't say anything about them. Is there a different rule for length of boat?Image

Seat pics for Goatram

John, Here are some pics of the seating arraignment in the cabin. The back rest is built on bent tubing, and mounts in holes drilled in the seat support. I have a lot of work flexibility from 1 Mar to 26 Apr. meaning i can take time off for several days at a time. Maybe that can help keep costs down, and i can learn a thing or three about painting!!

Re: Armstrong Cat build

It is a better ride sitting further back by the head and facing forward. The seats having verticle backs is not going to be a comfortable place to sit for long unless the cushions are made with a rake...go look at some truck campers (RV) an see what they have done using cushion design. Also if it i...

Old Zolatone

Does anyone have an idea how to "refresh" aging Zolatone? The old girl is about 13 years old now, and the cabin is starting to peel and yellow in places. It looks like there was a layer of clear coat that is coming off, especially on the roof where the zodiac lives. I am going to re do the...

do you have any idea where they purchased the two black scuba tank holders on the transom? Those would be perfect for the Diversion.

Flexible rubberized coating

So the plan now after doing much research is to line the hold with 1 1/2" closed cell foam sheets. They are easy to cut, nonabsorbent. It is the same stuff that is above the headliner in the cabin. http://www.homedepot.com/Building-Materials-Insulation-Rigid-Insulation/h_d1/N-5yc1vZbaxx/R-10032...

Re: Insulated Fish Holds

Fisherman, I am working on this exact project for my boat. Originally the plan was to spray expanding foam insulation on the walls and floor and when it was dry sand it to about 1 inch thick. Next i was going to shoot a bedliner-like material. Recent advice from a commercial fisherman has me looking...
